George's eldest daughter, Lucy, joined Cranbrook in 2013 as a local boarder in Blubery, followed by her younger sister to Scott in 2020 and she has been part of the CSPA for most of that time.
George also sits on the ABC (Association of Boarders at Cranbrook) Committee.
Having worked previously in brand design, George has spent the last few years as part of the fundraising committee at Rye, Winchelsea & District Memorial Hospital and is currently studying for a Diploma in Naturopathy.
She looks forward to meeting everyone at future CSPA events.
Our Vice Chair, Helen, has been a parent at the School since 2013.
Mum to Loucka – now at Manchester studying Business and Marketing - and Yr13 twins, Effie and Xani. Helen joined the CSPA as Treasurer four years ago.
An editor by profession specialising in the technology sector, Helen is known locally as the owner of Cranbrook’s sports shop, Ubersports.
John spent twenty years performing on stage, in the pit, in studios and abroad as the Principal Percussionist of the English National Opera Orchestra and for the UK's finest opera, symphony and ballet orchestras, as well as a ten year spell at the Royal National Theatre.
Moving into the corporate world, he spent 20 years in local, regional and global corporate affairs roles.
John’s son Adam started at Cranbrook School in 2014 - now at Sheffield studying medicine - and Daniel is in Yr12.
Supporting the local community has always been important to John and he is looking forward to returning to the School in his role as conductor of the symphony orchestra now lockdown has been lifted.
Lorraine is an accountant by day, and a writer of young adult and adult fiction by night where she writes under the imprint of
Gothic House (www.gothichousepress.co.uk).
She has been treasurer at the CSPA for around three years now, and her three children are Beckie in Yr13, Lottie in Yr12 and Mike in Yr 11.
Lucy's children have been at the School since 2014. Her eldest daughter is now at university - she has a son in Yr12 and twin daughters in Yr7.
Lucy is responsible for the CSPA website and social media platforms and edits the termly newsletter.
In real life, Lucy is a freelance editor in the construction industry.
