Association for Boarders at Cranbrook:
President – Andrew Nadin
Vice-Presidents – Marie-Claire Erith, Georgina Stephenson
The ABC Committee was created for parents, guardians and carers of boarding students at Cranbrook School. Its main purpose is to provide a support network but also to allow better communication between boarders’ parents, guardians and carers and the School.
The Committee works closely with the CSPA in its aim to help improve the education, welfare and experience of all pupils attending the School.
We represent a cross-section of parents in Yrs 9-13 and across all boarding Houses. We meet with the Headmaster and the Director of Boarding twice termly.
We also have a general 'CS Boarding' WhatsApp group for all boarding parents, guardians and carers, to give them more immediate contact with each other and to discuss everyday issues.
We hope that the ABC Committee will allow everyone, whether in the UK or abroad, to feel more connected to the Cranbrook School community and to engage in activities which support the boarding services provided by the School.
Please contact Vice-President Georgina Stephenson here if you would like to join the WhatsApp group or to become a member of the ABC Committee.
Originally from Cheshire, I attended Newcastle University where I read Environmental Science.
I have lived in France (in Gascony, between Toulouse and Bordeaux) for over 20 years where I head a group of companies both UK and France-based.
I have Finlay in Yr13 and William in Yr11, both in Crowden.
I have been a parent at Cranbrook since September 2015. My daughter is in Yr10 and is a boarder in Scott; her older sister was also in Scott for five years.
We set up the Committee in the spring of 2020 during the first lockdown to support the boarding provision at Cranbrook.
We are ‘local’ boarding parents, living half an hour from Cranbrook, and have had children at the school since 2014.
Our elder daughter Lucy was in Blubery and left the school in 2019.
Florence is in Scott in Yr9.
